Intuitive Surgical Inc. ISRG, -3.80% shares rose in the extended session Thursday after the surgical robotics company topped Wall Street estimates for the quarter. Intuitive Surgical shares rose 2.4% after hours, following a 3.8% decline to close the regular session at $522.29. The company reported third-quarter net income of $292.5 million, or $2.45 a share, compared with $298.6 million, or $2.56 a share, in the year-ago period. Adjusted earnings were $2.83 a share. Revenue rose to $920.9 million from $807.8 million in the year-ago period. Analysts surveyed by FactSet had estimated $2.66 a share on revenue of $916.7 million.
