Gold fell on Monday, with strength in the U.S. dollar and last week’s multiyear highs in Treasury yields pushing prices for the metal to their lowest settlement in more than week. December gold GCZ8, -1.36% lost $17, or 1.4%, to settle at $1,188.60 an ounce. That was the lowest finish since Sept. 27, according to FactSet data.
