Omarosa Manigault Newman says in a new book that President Donald Trump is a ‘racist.’
Donald Trump is a “racist” who regularly used the “N-word” on the set of “The Apprentice,” claims Omarosa Manigault Newman, who starred on the show and then followed the president to the White House.
The future U.S. president was caught on mic uttering the racial slur “multiple times” during the making of his reality TV show, and there are recordings that prove it, according to Newman, who offered no proof of her accusation.
She cited a trio of unnamed sources who said they heard Trump, according to The Guardian, which obtained an advance copy of her upcoming memoir.
Rumors that outtakes from the show existed in which he is heard saying the N-word and using other offensive language have persisted since before the election.
But MGM has declined to release recordings of the outtakes, citing contractual and legal concerns — and it’s unclear if recordings of the president using the slur actually exist.
But the charge comes as Trump’s insulting comments about prominent African-Americans — from LeBron James to CNN’s Don Lemon, Rep. Maxine Waters and protesting NFL players — have raised eyebrows about his views on race.
In her book, “Unhinged,” she insisted that the reports are true, although she admits she had not personally heard him use the N-word.
White House spokeswoman Sarah Sanders called Trump’s former ally and aide a liar.
“Instead of telling the truth about all the good President Trump and his administration are doing to make America safe and prosperous, this book is riddled with lies and false accusations,” she said in a statement.
“It’s sad that a disgruntled former White House employee is trying to profit off these false attacks, and even worse that the media would now give her a platform, after not taking her seriously when she had only positive things to say about the president during her time in the administration.”
Newman also claimed that she witnessed Trump use racial epithets about White House counselor Kellyanne Conway’s husband, George Conway, who is half-Filipino.
“Would you look at this George Conway article?” she quoted the president as saying. “F–king FLIP! Disloyal! F–king Goo-goo.”
Both “flip” and “goo-goo” are terms of racial abuse for Filipinos.
But George Conway — who hasn’t been shy about criticizing Trump — dismissed the claim as “ridiculous.”
“The allegation is not credible, and indeed is ridiculous, particularly in light of the timing of her departure from the White House—December 12, 2017,” Conway wrote in a tweet. “It’s absurd all around.”
