American depository receipts of Asian stocks were trading 0.60% higher at 181.66 on the Bank of New York Mellon Asia ADR Index on Monday.
In North Asia, the gainers were led by online marketing technology company iClick ( ICLK ), and Kingtone Wirelessinfo Solution ( KONE ), a provider of mobile enterprise solutions, which rose 13.3% and 7.5% respectively. They were followed by social networking company Renren ( RENN ), and JMU Limited ( JMU ), a B2B online e-commerce platform, which were up 5.7% and 4.9%.
The decliners in North Asia were led by Semiconductor Manufacturing International ( SMI ), and AU Optronics (AUO), a manufacturer of thin film transistor liquid crystal displays, which shed 9.6% and 2.6% respectively. They were followed by fabless semiconductor company Silicon Motion Technology (SIMO), and 58.com (WUBA), a provider of online classifieds and listing platforms, which fell 2.1% and 1.9%
In South Asia, the gainers were led by satellite TV provider Videocon d2h (VDTH), and IT services firm Wipro (WIT), which climbed 3.3% and 2.7% respectively. They were followed by SIFY Technologies (SIFY), and Telekomunikasi Indonesia (TLK), which were up 2.2% and 1.1%.
Telecommunications provider PLDT (PHI) led the decliners in South Asia, falling 1.3%, followed by WNS Holdings (WNS), a provider of business process management services, which dropped 0.4%. Pharmaceutical firm Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories (RDY), and ICICI Bank (IBN) were down 0.2% and 0.1%.
