Tableau Software Shares Fall As Quarterly Results Miss Estimates

Data analytics software provider Tableau Software ( DATA ) reported third-quarter results after the market close Thursday that missed estimates on the top and bottom lines.

Tableau reported revenue of $214.9 million, missing the consensus estimate of $219 million, up 4% from the year-ago period and the third straight quarter of revenue deceleration. It reported adjusted earnings of 8 cents, missing the consensus estimate of 9 cents, as polled by Zacks Investment Research.

Tableau shares were down 11% during aftermarket trading, near 73.23 in the stock market today . Tableau Software shares have nearly doubled this year.

Tableau said total annual recurring revenue increased 46% to $526.2 million from the year-ago period . Subscription annual recurring revenue increased 204% to $139.2 million .
