The main US equity markets turned lower on Wednesday, retreating for the second time in three days as the Dow Jones Industrial Average pulled back from its record high a day earlier after Boeing’s ( BA ) quarterly report sent the heavyweight into the red.
The Nasdaq Composite was heading for the lowest level in three weeks after disappointing results from chipmaker Advanced Micro Devices ( AMD ), while the S&P 500 neared the worst since Oct. 13. Telecoms declined the most among the sectors after AT&T’s ( T ) miss on revenue, while Boeing’s loss weighed on industrials.
