U.S. stocks were poised for a higher open Monday, a quiet day on the economic data front and with banks closed for the Columbus holiday.
Oil prices were mixed Monday with global benchmark Brent Crude down 0.14% recently, while U.S. crude West Texas Intermediate was up 0.22% after some comments from Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries’ officials signaled the group and other producers may take further action to restore market balance.
There are no economic data due for release Monday.
In equities, shares of TrovaGene ( TROV ) were 19% higher after the company received an orphan drug designation for its acute myeloid leukemia treatment.
